The Messenger app helps connect people, even when they’re apart. The content design team on Messenger is experimental, nimble, detail oriented and obsessed with enabling people to stay connected with each other and make the world a better place.You (DPM) will lead and build out horizontal programs and processes for the content design team to support our design work and collaboration with product teams. This might look like helping us evaluate and improve our voice, lead programs that advance quality across the app, or support communications across our content design team which is 34+ strong and growing. Ultimately, you’ll improve the quality of every string we write and the framework we create.Summary of Potential Focus Areas / Initiatives:Rhythm of business: Partner with content design leads to build and maintain an operating cadence that brings the community together with team meetings, off sites, etc.Discipline Communications – Partner with our manager team to share ownership of our communications plan. Ensure we’ re meeting the needs of various audiences (managers, ICs, apps and CD leadership) and delivering timely information.Content Review structures – Audit our existing mechanisms for content reviews and work with other DPMs and leaders to identify opportunities to iterate and improve in the halves ahead.Cross-Team Process – Help drive process improvements with centralized teams and stakeholders like Privacy.Design Sprint Coordination – Create best practices around how CD participates in the design sprint process.Target Requirements:Collaboration superpowers: You should thrive in high-ambiguity environments where there are many stakeholders working toward long-term, overlapping goals. You can bring people along and together to work as a team.Design fluency: You’ve created or improved design processes with numerous design constraints. You’ve worked closely with product designers, writers, artists and communication designers. You are comfortable speaking about visual elements and language patterns to ensure we make and track progress on the work we do.Communications management: Take ownership of communications across the content design discipline within the app to ensure our team of 125+ content designers have access to timely, accurate and useful information.We are looking for product design instead of publishing content.Responsibilities:Project management- running business operations.Familiar with operating within the design space.Supporting the content design team.Bringing team together for meeting, off site, etcWorking with the tech world.
