Job Title: Test Engineer II – 32091-1Duration: 12 Months (W2 Possible Conversion) Location: Redmond, WAResponsibilities:Operate wafer-level and die-level optical test equipmentDevelop automation routines in LabView and/or python to control laboratory test instruments and acquire dataPerform tool evaluation and calibration and assess the accuracy of the data.Work closely with the metrology team to identify problems and gaps in the current system and make recommendations for improvements proactively.Run data analysis and report measurement results in a meaningful way.Support?staff?for tool modifications and maintenance.Follow standard operating procedures and all safety protocols.Actively document and communicate experimental observations, results, and conclusions with research staff.Comfortable working with laser and complex optical equipment in a cleanroom environment.SkillsExperienced with wafer-level and die-level testing of electronic and/or optical componentsExperience operating in an optical lab and cleanroom environmentExperience in test automation with LabViewFamiliar with standard optical and electronic test equipment, including light-sources, optical power-meters, polarization controllers, oscilloscopes, SMUsFamiliar with optical fibers, including handling, cleaning, and splicingFamiliar with python, Matlab, or other scripting languagesPrevious work with integrated photonics is a plusExcellent written and verbal communication skillsTop 3 must-have HARD skills:LabViewOptical and/or electronic test equipmentOptical and/or electronic testingGood to have skills:Wafer-level testOptical fiber testingPythonIntegrated PhotonicsCleanroomData AnalysisEducation :Bachelor in Applied Optics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 2+ years experiencePreferred: Master or Ph.D. in Applied Optics, Physics, or Electrical Engineering, or a related field
