Job Title: Technical Program Manager IV (17707-1)Type: W2 ContractDuration: 12 months with possibility to extendLocation: US – NY – New York Client: Leading Social Media Company*Must have US Work Authorization*Summary:The technical project manager will plan, direct, or coordinate activities around the Release process of a large application with dozens of engineering teams and stakeholders.Job Responsibilities:• Oversee the Release process by leveraging the appropriate tools & ceremonies, collecting key metrics, managing risk, and communicating with key executive, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders• Coordinate relevant teams and contributors to ensure timely and predictable execution of the Release process, including suggesting and making changes to the process.• Oversee the Release operation end-to-end, including escalating and resolving blockers across teams, functions, projects, and programs• Deliver the Release within the constraints of scope, quality, time and budget and under circumstances involving multiple moderate-probability, moderate-impact risk factors.• Identify, collect, analyze, and publish key metrics to relevant team members and stakeholders• Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity.• Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to assess requirements.• Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, engineers, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems.• Evaluate proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements.• Develop and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures.• Develop and maintain relevant documentationSkills:• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.• Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.• Strong leadership and mentoring skills• Strong knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC)• Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effectiveness of software engineering teams• Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.• Strong knowledge of SQL in order to collect and analyze key metricsEducation/Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MBA or other related advanced degree preferred.• PMI or PMP certification preferred.
