Job Title: Technical Program Manager II (40771-1)Type: W2 Contract Duration: 9 months with scope for extension/conversionClient: Leading Social Media CompanyLocation: Redmond, WA (Remote)**Must have US Work Authorization** The Meta Reality Labs (RL-R) Research Team brings together a world-class team of researchers, developers, and engineers to create the future of AR and VR, which together will become as universal and essential as smartphones and personal computers are today. RL-R is looking for the next generation of scientists and engineers to tackle the most ambitious problems in wearable computing.As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) on this team, you will work with a team of talented AI researchers, HCI researchers, designers, data scientists, engineers and other cross-functional team members to envision, build and test new computational models and systems. We are looking for an experienced technical leader who can support complex systems at a large scale, while maintaining clarity of vision and organizational awareness.?Job Responsibilities:Work with researchers and their stakeholders to define engineering system architecture, researchroadmaps, program milestones and deliverables.Develop project schedules based on requirements, technical challenges and available resources.Coordinate communication between internal and external teams and partners.Report program status, issues, challenges and help needed with all stakeholders.Collect, monitor and ensure the team’s needs are met around procurement, externalengagement, budget, hiring, data collections, and coordinate with other teams when necessary.Work closely with team managers to develop new processes, best practices and supporting toolsto improve the efficiency of team meetings, project monitoring, and status updates in a multi-teammulti-disciplinary growing organization.Minimum Qualifications:4+ years of artificial intelligence, computer science, machine learning, human-computer interaction or technical product/program management experience.Program management, coordination, dependency management, multi-tasking, cross-group technical collaboration and team building skills experience.Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and cross-functional stakeholders at different levels within the organization.Experience being flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities.Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with driving programs in a research or start-up environment.Program-level strategic planning and complex issue resolutionEducation:Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as engineering, computer science, data science, human computer interaction, design or related field required.MBA, M.S./Ph.D. or other related advanced degree preferred.
