Job Title: Systems Architect IV (17533-1)Type: W2 Contract Duration: 12 months with scope for extension/conversionClient: Leading Social Media Company Location: Sunnyvale, CA**Must have US Work Authorization ***Mechatronics/ Robotics Experience Required***Calibration/Test Analysis and SimulationAt Facebook Reality Labs (FRL), our goal is to explore, innovate and design novel interfaces and hardware subsystems for the next generation of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality experiences. We are seeking highly motivated candidates with a passion for driving calibration/test station analysis, validation and optimization, which will help the team access knowledge that can inform key decisions throughout the NPI phases and mass production (MP) of FRL’s AR/VR products. As the automation engineer of the Calibration and Test Automation (CaTA) team, you will work with station DRIs across the Hardware Test Engineering team to review, analyze and validate calibration/test station design. You will collect, review, analyze and report data from different types of calibration/test stations, develop automated tools to perform sensitivity study, correlation analysis and performance assessments, and publish and present to our cross-functional partners and broader audience. You will be responsible for driving Design of Experiments (DoEs) and execute experiment plans in both laboratory and factory environments to validate test and calibration stations and provide recommendations for station optimization. You will be learning and developing simulation tools to simulate different configurations and situations of calibration/test setup, analyze and recommend station design criteria, and provide guidance on station hardware/software design to improve calibration/test performance.ResponsibilitiesReview, process, analyze, visualize and report manufacturing test and calibration data, and provide timely feedback and guidance to the team about data trending from NPI and mass production.Maintain and design data dashboard/reporting systems to process and present data to provide greater insight into the manufacturing test and calibration station developmentDevelop automation tools and methodologies to perform test/calibration sensitivity study, correlation study, and system design validation. Design methodologies to drive data collection and analysis for staton performance evaluation, including sensitivity analysis, test limits analysis, calibration pipeline validation, etc.Drive design of experiments (DOE) and execute experiment plans on factory test and calibration stations or customized hardware platforms in laboratory and/or factory environments.Develop simulation ofMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent with 1+ years of experience in developing test/calibration solutions in a consumer electronics or related field.Experience with programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and data processing tools such as MATLAB, JMP and Minitab.Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks and NX.Experience designing and executing development projects with a design of experiment approach (DOE) to service, troubleshoot, and solve engineering problems.Experience with Root Cause analysis and development of large systems via requirements gatheringExperience with laboratory work and experimental hardwareKnowledge in statistical methods (6sigma, SPC, Cpk) for data analytics.Strong skills of communication and presentationUp to 15% travel domestically or internationally to execute DOE and data analysis at other FRL sites, vendor facilities and CM.Preferred QualificationsMaster/Ph.D. in relevant degree with background and 3+ years of experiences in robotics, mechatronics, and automation.Strong programming skills with Python, C/C++ or other script-based programming languages in robust fault-tolerant instrumentation and/or automation applications.Experience in mechanical design with CAD software (Solidworks/NX), tolerance analysis, and CAD rendering.Experience developing hardware test solutions utilizing robotics/mechatronics design and programming with both internal and third-party.Experience in factory tests for consumer electronics products for NPI and mass production.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent with 1+ years of experience in developing test/calibration solutions in a consumer electronics or related field.Experience with programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and data processing tools such as MATLAB, JMP and Minitab.Knowledge of CAD tools such as SolidWorks and NX.Experience designing and executing development projects with a design of experiment approach (DOE) to service, troubleshoot, and solve engineering problems.Experience with Root Cause analysis and development of large systems via requirements gatheringExperience with laboratory work and experimental hardwareKnowledge in statistical methods (6sigma, SPC, Cpk) for data analytics.Strong skills of communication and presentationUp to 15% travel domestically or internationally to execute DOE and data analysis at other FRL sites, vendor facilities and CM.
