Job Title: Online Operations – Support Specialist (21039-1)Type: W2 ContractDuration: 12 months with possibility to extend or conversionLocation: US – CA- SunnyvaleClient: Leading Social Media Company*Must have US Work Authorization* Job Description: Summary:The main function of a Technical Support Specialist is to provide technical assistance to computer system users. The Specialist will provide developer support, Infrastructure support, and some development of tools/scripts for the Infra ASIC team.Job Responsibilities:• Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems, typically of a lower complexity• May install software or perform hardware testing remotely• Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors• Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial actions taken, or installation activities• Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support• Understand deployment of jobs on a server farm, job scheduling, job management, builds, etc.Qualifications:• Associate’s degree in computer related field or equivalent training required• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time• Knowledge of computer software, such as configuration management software, desktop communications software, operating system software and internet directory services software• Basic coding and scripting skills• Knowledge of Linux based systemsMinimum requirements:- Developer support fairly large team- Linux operating system- familiar with coding and different languages- Familiarity with basic design* Great to haves/top skill set:- Familiarity with basic design assist- Managing a license server- Debugging /understanding memory requirements storage- Life troubleshooting, trouble shoot and identify route causes-Previous roles as Dev Support Specialist, IT Specialist
