Basic knowledge of at least one of these languages is expected for this role, but we are less interested in language mastery than analytical ability, good programming habits and the ability to learn quickly. Communication and collaboration skills are also very important.What You’ll Do:As a Platform and Services Software Engineer you will contribute to the development of the core services that support our products. You will be part of a tribe that combines product managers and engineers focused on conceiving and building amazing products. You will work closely with the product managers, designers, and application engineers to build platform capabilities that meet the needs of our company’s applications as well as a growing ecosystem of technology partners. You will be afforded the opportunity to learn new technologies quickly and to share your knowledge with your peers. Your ability to solve hard problems independently and to communicate and collaborate well with others will both be important to your career growth. Core Competencies:Platform and services engineers should have significant (1-4 yrs.) experience in two or more of the areas belowFull stack web development (REST-based services, single page applications) Distributed systems (messaging, HA systems, caching, performance)Durable code (testability, documentation, maintainability)API design and implementation (REST / JSON, messaging)Apache Kafka or equivalent multi-consumer, multi-producer message streamingOAuth / other security protocols, zero trustRedis / MongoDB or equivalent key-value and document storesRDBMS access and design patternsContemporary team development (CI/CD pipelines, git, Jira, etc)Minimum Qualifications:Degree in mathematics or computer science preferred. Candidates interested in AI/NLP work must have strong mathematics backgroundProficient in one of Java, Python, or GolangStrong analytical skills and problem-solving abilityMore about our Technology:We invest in our people.
