Job Title: QA Engineer IIType: W2 Contract Duration: 12 months with scope for extension/conversionClient: Leading Social Media CompanyLocation: Sunnyvale , CA**Must have US Work Authorization** Job Description:Needs to be onsiteSummary: The main function of a QA Engineer at this level is to apply configuration skills at a basic level. The QA Engineer will perform repeatable testing procedures and may need to be familiar with programming languages.Job Responsibilities:• Perform repeatable testing procedures and processes.•Working in a lab environment, creating, maintaining and operating sensitive measurement setups for quality data acquisition.? Maintaining suitable bench characterization testing equipment for electro-optical characterization, using sound and robust optical and mechanical design principles.Skills:• Statistical data analysis: measures of central tendency, variation and uncertainty. Use of statistical software.? Self-discipline, initiative, and motivation with the ability to work with limited direct supervision. Diligent attention to detail with a strong commitment to do the job right the first time.? Technical creativity and innovative thinking, maintaining a professional, organized, and clean lab environment.? Understanding of imaging/camera system level design and considerations.? Experience with imaging related lab hardware: light sources, lux meters, test charts & imaging targets, opto-mechanical components, motion control stages & precision alignment components, optical filters (bandpass, IR cut-off), lenses.? Ability to understand, modify or write software for macros / scripting to automate data acquisition and analysis, using Python, MATLAB, ExcelEducation/Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Optical Engineering/Computer Sciences required and some business/functional knowledge and/or industry experience preferred.Comments for Suppliers:Interview process:Must-have skills: experience handling optics (cameras, optical instruments with precision), familiar with text environments (rigorous quantitative tests)
