Title: QA Test Scripter II (28428)Type: W2 ContractDuration: 12 monthsLocation: Redmond, WARequest ID: 28428Job Description: Summary: In addition to the role of a QA Test Scripter I, QA Test Scripter IIs are responsible for designing solutions to gaps and needs in AR/VR automation. Scripter IIs work as partners of the automation infrastructure team, identifying new infrastructure that’s required for the Scripters within AR/VR to be able to accomplish the goals of the quality organization. Scripter IIs then work with the automation infrastructure team to assist with implementation and testing. Where gaps exist that the infrastructure team does not have capacity to fix, Scripter IIs will work with the AR/VR Quality leads to come up with creative solutions to keep the team moving forward. Scripter IIs must also provide guidance to Scripter Is, helping them to understand the automation infrastructure and assist with development tasks as needed. In addition to being excellent programmers, Scripter IIs must be excellent at design and implementation of scalable, reusable solutions that can benefit the entire team.***Manager deemed role in office after July 5, 2022***Job Responsibilities:• Design solutions to tasks assigned to the AR/VR Scripters team• Direct priorities for Scripter Is• Working with AR/VR Quality leadership and automation infrastructure to determine solutions to challenges and identify best practices• Write automated test cases within existing automation infrastructure• Write scripts to assist manual QA• Investigate automation failures• Report and track bugs found by automation• Modify existing automation to fix automation errors and yield higher signalSkills:• Ability to provide leadership and guidance to more junior QA specialists• Ability to effectively coordinate multiple efforts simultaneously• Ability to prioritize tasks to ensure high-level team goals are accomplished• Ability to drive test execution for different milestones• Good understanding of test planning and test strategies• Proficiency in two or more of the following: Python, Java or C#, Javascript, PHP or Hack, SQL• Ability to work independently or as part of a team• Strong deductive reasoning• Strong understanding of the software development process• Excellent communication skillsEducation/Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field and 2+ years experience in a coding-related roleOR• Bachelor’s degree in any field with formal coding training and 4+ years experience in a coding-related role
