Job Title: Project Manager [Taxonomist] 38177Type: W2 ContractDuration:12 Months with possible extension or conversionLocation: Approved Meta Remote Locations: Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA , Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, and San Diego, CA, Austin TX *Must be authorized to work in the United States* Summary:The main function of a CW Taxonomist is to assist in enabling a taxonomy of issues for the Product Service Organization (PSO), which helps advertisers and other business clients find effective support and help everyone have the very best experience using Meta’s Family of Apps (FoA).Job Responsibilities:Maintain and design the issue taxonomy for PSO through extensive competitive research and analysis.Reference and follow industry best practices for taxonomy development and maintenance.Partner with stakeholders to launch new support classification to ensure volumetric and trends data is accurately captured.Consult with internal cross-functional partners to expand our taxonomy to support product and business goals while remaining faithful to underlying structures.Develop, manage, maintain, and iterate on a unified taxonomy for all the issues clients may experience on the FoA.Make recommendations about ongoing taxonomy management as well as strategies and features that rely on taxonomy.Collaborating with the Customer Experience (CX) Taxonomist to uphold Meta’s taxonomy governance standards and principles.Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into useful and valuable classification that produces high quality insights.Skills:Ability to use taxonomy management systems to maintain categories, attributes, and other metadataAbility to move fast and work with cross-functional teams on big, ambiguous problemsAbility to build alignment amongst distributed stakeholdersAbility to build taxonomies and related features for customer support, including machine learning classification modelsExperience with taxonomy workEducation/Experience:Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent training requiredPreferred Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Library Science or Information ManagementExperience with scripting languages such as PythonExperience in analyzing large volumes of data with SQL or other query languagesExperience building taxonomies for machine learning classification systems.
