Job Title: Project Manager III Type: W2 ContractReq: 29891Duration: 12 Months with possible extensionClient: Social Media LeaderLocation: Fremont, CA, Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Houston, TX, Los Angeles, CA, and San Diego, CA.*Must be authorized to work in the United States*Key responsibilities:This project manager will engage with the Infrastructure Accounting team to host workshops and design sessions, identify areas of process and system improvements and execute testing in order to optimize and accelerate the Infra accounting close process. The project manager will also assist with the creation of roadmaps for hi-priority initiatives that are not currently in Engineering’s scope. A project manager with experience with financial accounting systems is strongly preferred.Summary:The main function of a finance project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities by partnering with accounting, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to successfully identify, design, implement and test various financial initiatives.Job Responsibilities:• Coordinate projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.• Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.• Host understand workshops to gather inputs from a variety of teams to gain a deep understanding of pain points and requirements and further alignment of these teams toward a solution• Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.• Confer with engineering and finance teams to discuss project specifications and align on roadmaps and prioritization.• Design, plan and execute testing strategies and use experience from arranging projects to assist the team in testing• Consult or negotiate with teams to prepare project specifications.Skills:• Verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.• Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.• Strong leadership and collaboration skills necessary to coordinate with multiple teams and drive alignment.• Strong knowledge of financial accounting systems and processes.• Strong knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.• Strong knowledge of project management strategies and principles• Strong knowledge of computer software, such as Google Suite, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.Strong knowledge of financial accounting systems (Oracle, Hyperion, etc.)• Preferred knowledge of project management software, such as AsanaEducation/Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.• PMI or PMP certification preferred.• CPA or CFA certification preferred.
