Job Title: Project Coordinator – Optical Engineer 37064-1Duration: 12 Months with possible extension or conversionJob Type: W2Location: Sunnyvale, CAJob Description: Project Coordinator – Optical EngineerResponsibilitiesWork with engineers and managers to plan the build of new and custom metrology tools and performance evaluation activities and align plan with the project schedules.Create a plan for the tool builds with prioritization with internal clients and users:Defining scope with stakeholders.Defining technical requirements through existing engineering staff and clients.Create budget with input from vendors and equipment providers.Execute and track the plan with all team membersCommunicate plans and updates with stakeholders.Create a plan for the testing of components and subsystems as the units become available and as metrology tools become availablePrioritize testing, ensure tester and sample readinessOrganize technician’s or engineer’s time on the testing of said tool and given samples.Organize flow of samples to testersCreate a plan and manage execution for the visual evaluation of prototype unitsCoordination of units to study participantsPlan and implement logistics of the studyDisplay effective organization skills and manage multiple and sometimes competing prioritiesDemonstrate strong capabilities to engage directly with leadership on strategy and be able to pivot to granular detail within working cross-functional teamsImplement task intake and management system for requests to the team.Drive standardization of delivery activities to increase efficacy of service including SOWs, qualification protocol, and documentation for metrology tools.-Top 3 must-have HARD skills:Organization- Taking notes in meetings, meet timelines and expectationsClear communication and accountabilityConfident in their role as a Project Coordinator, driven and willing to learn/ take on new projects -Good to have skills:Ability to create an internal website/wikiOptical Engineering BackgroundQualificationsBachelor’s degree or higher in Optics, Physics, Engineering or other technical area.Experience in metrology or equipment related fields.Demonstrable experience in taking on program and/or technical management of similar work.Experience managing schedules and resources for projects.
