The team’s mission is to partner with teams across Meta to design, build, and manage new decision-making mechanisms and institutions that give people greater power over Meta’s products and decisions. Current and past projects include the establishment of the Oversight Board to govern Meta’s approach to content moderation.In this role, you will be responsible for helping coordinate the ongoing evolution and implementation of the Governance team’s initiatives, partnering with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, Operations, Communication, and Policy to prioritize and contribute to the standup and implementation of governance projects, as well as solve operational considerations related to the Oversight Board.The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility, teamwork, and strong execution skills. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, and have a strong attention to detail. The candidate should also have strong communication skills, enabling them to work with key business stakeholders internally and externally to understand project requirements, shape deliverables, and execute project plans. You should be passionate about the services we provide and the people that we serve.RESPONSIBILITIESHelp coordinate efforts to engage key internal and external stakeholders in process design and implementation.Partner with cross-functional teams such as Product, Engineering, Operations, Communications, and Policy to prioritize and contribute to the large scale governance projects as well as solve ongoing operational problems related to the Oversight Board.Identify issues that may impede the operalization of projects and facilitate solution generation.Partner closely with internal teams from Product, Engineering, Operations, Communications, and Policy and use data to drive insights that solve for project bottlenecks and inefficiencies. Identify opportunities for automation and propose projects to improve our existing processes.Participate in cross-functional work with other teams at Meta to design and execute projects.Develop tools and metrics for measuring the success and status of various projects.Update documentation and tooling related to day-to-day work.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS2+ years of experience in consulting, operations, organization management and development, and/or project or program managementStrategic thinker, self-starter, intellectually curious and creative individual with experience operating in ambiguity and solving complex problemsExperience building connections with team members and cross-functional partners through effective communication and collaborationExperience coordinating projects end-to-end, setting up roadmaps for the team, and motivating the team towards executing on deliverables to achieve project goalsExperience driving and managing multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience effectively developing key processes and procedures that facilitate efficient executionDemonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communicationAbility to multi-task and work effectively in a cross-functional environment, building consensus, and collaborating effectivelyPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSExperience in or strong understanding of content moderation and/or public policyExperience or demonstrated capability in business/data analyticsThemes: strategic awareness, transparency, and case operations management/supportOwn the continued development of an internal dashboard that will monitor, track, and visualize key case data for project leaders within H2Develop and drive work plan for launching end-to-end dashboard, spanning pre-selection to 30-day lookback. Work with engineers, collect XFN and leadership requirements, and launch MVP dashboard.Own the continued development of a Case Operations workflow management system:Own GSI’s relationship with the CASES Tool team. In collaboration with RA, drive a work plan that will make strides toward XFN workflow management and improvements.Support transparency efforts:Support Facebook-led transparency reporting, as required.Assist in the management of the XFN’s day-to-day operations by substantively participating in XFN-led processes, as appropriate (Microsync notes, Significance & Difficulty Assessment in Case Referral, Implementation Working Group, etc)Own deadline & milestone management, anticipating potential bottlenecks with XFN and the Board.Further develop Case Ops Knowledge Management, including but not limited to creating process documentation, capturing lessons learned, and working with the XFN to capture best practices.
