Job Title: Design Engineer VReq: 20098-1Type: W2 Contract.Duration: 6 months with possible extension and conversion.Location: Menlo Park CA*Must be authorized to work in US*Responsibilities:Summary:As a Product Designer, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process, from brainstorming the next great product innovation to tweaking pixels right before launch. You will be expected to utilize your full range of product design, interaction design, and visual design skills, and you will own the experience for a wide area of the Clients product.Job Responsibilities:Design flows and experiences that are simple and elegant.Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable.Design flows and experiences that are incredibly simple and elegant.Contribute to high-level strategic decisions with the rest of the product and executive teams.Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise our bar for quality.Partner with Product Managers, engineers, researchers and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch.Skills:Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.Front-end programming.Experience in building and shipping applications or software.Provide URL featuring examples of interaction design work.Demonstrated experience with end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design.Department is growing – Open to any Client Hub in USCommerce org- operates across Instagram and Cient– shopping experienceLooking at ratings and reviews, questions and answers – ask the seller a question or check out previous reviewsUsually works on the buyer facing experience- this project is seller facingTools to answer customer support questions, reviews,Owning the seller facing side.Driving new product experiences.Responsible for ensuring that the new experiences on the buyer side can actually happen.Hope to fully integrate the person into the team- cross functional teamWill take part in design critiques, communicate with stakeholders, partner with research on testing the experiences, come up with experiments.MUST HAVE:Strong product thinking skills.Ability to frame the problem, design options, potential solutions- journey diagrams and flows.Need to have worked at a fast moving/larger tech company- large number of functions.Experience working on a business facing component.Dashboard internal tools – Asana, drop box, doordash dispatcher, desktop facing experience vs mobile.Not so much working on the consumer side.FIGMA.Working in ecommerce or customer support products would be a nice to have.
