Job Title: Network Engineer IV 30954-1Duration: 12 Months (W2 Possible Conversion) Location: Fremont, CASummary:The main function of a network engineer is to support and maintain the network and caching systems of our CDN network. A typical network engineer is responsible for driving improvements around network capacity, availability, and reliability.Job Responsibilities:Ability to support and maintain network and caching systems operations, maintenance, repairs or upgrades.Review and approve solutions for network and server problems.Develop procedures to track, project or report network availability, reliability, capacity or utilization.Ability to work within a global team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with limited supervision.Analyze operational performances, identify issues/opportunities, and work with various stakeholders to address those opportunitiesProvide actionable insights for improving service delivery of partners with the help of dataSkills:Excellent verbal and written communication skills, collaboration and interpersonal skills.Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organization skillsDemonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and utilize troubleshooting skills, systems and tools towards problem solvingStrong Project management and/or consulting experienceFamiliarity with Content Delivery Networks and POP architecture.Experience with NOC environments and working to SLAsExperience with routing and switching technologies and protocols including TCP/IP, STP, VLAN, VRRP, CDP, LLDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, and MPLSExperience with server hardware and Linux administration is a plusEducation:Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field required.Certification such as RHCSA, JNCIA, CCNA desired. RHCE, CCNP or JNCIP a plus.
