Lab Operations SpecialistSummaryThis role will drive and implement consistent operational models for a testing &characterization lab in addition to supporting lab resources and users.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:? Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols and procedures? Handle lab maintenance, day-to-day operational items, and procurement management? Coordinate lab workload and facilitate shipping and receiving of samples? Assist lab technicians in assembly and testing of sample devices and hardware systems? Track and document test devices from initial involvement through final resolution? Support evaluation of equipment and accessories to maintain and continually scaleservice offerings worldwide? Confer with Team Lead and Lab Technicians to discuss defective or unacceptableprocesses and determine corrective action? Understanding of Lab Equipment with the intent to troubleshoot and set up equipmentRequired Skills and Experience? 2+ years of experience with lab tools, including operational knowledge and equipmentmaintenance? Experience in two or more of the following: mechanical prototypes, electrical testing,environmental testing, material characterization, and hardware root cause analysis.? Experience with procurement and inventory control of supplies and equipment? Knowledge of laboratory equipment protocols and procedures? Ability to utilize, calibrate, and configure laboratory testing systems and instruments? Strong written and verbal communication skills? Ability and motivation to operate effectively in a team environment? Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.)? Expertise navigating Google platforms (Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Calendar,Google Sheets, etc.)? Technical savvy of online communication tools & platforms (Zoom, Slack – will translateto Meta internal communication platform, etc)Preferred Skills? Execute Reliability Test Methodology based on JEDEC, IEC, MIL and AEC automotivestandards? Perform hands-on Failure Analysis from wafer level to package, utilizing techniquesincluding FIB,SEM/EDX, X-ray imaging, and associated sample preparation? Quickly resolve pressing technical issues through root cause failure analysis andinsightful problem-? Solving approach, significantly reducing manufacturing expenses while improving yieldvia creative process improvements ? Analyze and interpret test results as data is generated, then assure appropriatecorrective actions are assigned across R&D and manufacturing teamsEducation/Experience:? Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Engineering,Physics, or a related business field? Doctorates in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Engineering,Physics preferred but not required
