Job Title: Lab Operations SpecialistType: W2 ContractDuration: 12 Months with possible conversionClient: Social Media LeaderLocation: Fremont CA*Must be authorized to work in United States*Summary:Lab Operations role ensures a laboratory operates smoothly by assisting staff with site access, reordering supplies, and maintaining security protocols and safety standards. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Ensure compliance with lab safety protocols and proceduresHandle lab maintenance, day-to-day operational items, and procurement management.Coordinate lab workload and facilitate shipping and receiving of samplesAssist lab staff in assembly and testing of sample devices and hardware systemsTrack and document test devices from initial involvement through final resolutionSupport evaluation of equipment and accessories to maintain and continually scale service offerings worldwide Confer with Team Lead and Lab staff to discuss defective or unacceptable processes and determine corrective action Understanding of Lab Equipment with the intent to troubleshoot and set up equipment Coordinate with laboratory scheduling to provide program scheduling updates and timeline requirements Identify and resolve roadblocks and potential problems, with appropriate escalation to lab management as appropriate Required Skills and Experience 2+ years of experience with lab tools, including operational knowledge and equipment maintenance Experience in two or more of the following: mechanical prototypes, electrical testing, environmental testing, material characterization, and hardware root cause analysis.Experience with procurement and inventory control of supplies and equipment Ability to utilize, calibrate, and configure laboratory testing systems and instruments ? Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability and motivation to operate effectively in a team environment Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.) Preferred Skills ? Experience in analog/RF circuit design and related tests Good understanding of IC device Electronics, physics, and its manufacturing technology Education/Experience: Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related business field
