At FRL, graphics software development is vital to turbocharging our scientific explorations and generating viable paths to the consumer products people will use for decades to come & mdash; products that will literally give people super powers.Responsibilities:Real-time graphics algorithms development & prototypingWrite clean readable code, debug complex problems that span systems, prioritize ruthlessly and get things done with a high level of efficiencyLearn constantly, dive into unfamiliar technologies, and embrace the ambiguity of AR/VR problem solvingWork closely with our perceptual research team to prototype and evaluate novel graphics algorithmsSkills: Baseline Requirements5+ years C/C++ experience, including C++11 (and up) features and principles5+ years experience creating software for games, real-time systems, or other high performance environmentsSolid working knowledge of 3D math and linear algebraUnderstanding of GPU architecture, GPGPU, caches, code generation, and profilingExperience with one or more low-level graphics frameworks, such as DirectX, or OpenGLExperience shipping one or more products of high complexity using standard software development tool sets such as source control and continuous integration systemsAdditional Desired SkillsCandidates with experience in any of the following areas are highly desired:Hardware algorithm design, architecture, prototyping, and simulationExperience working with silicon teamsFixed-point mathReal-time ray tracingCompression and streamingComputer vision and machine learningGPGPU experience, such as CUDA, OpenCL or DirectCompute developmentEmbedded and low-power environments (mobile SoCs, DSPs, etc.)Education: BS degree in Computer Science or a related fieldSkills and Experience:Required Skills: 3D MATHALGORITHMARARCHITECTUREC++ Additional Skills:SOCSSTRUCTURED SOFTWARECODE GENERATIONCONSUMER PRODUCTSDIRECTXENGINEERGPGPUINTEGRATIONOPENGLOPTIMIZATIONPROTOTYPESPROTOTYPINGREAL-TIMESOFTWARE DEVELOPMENTSOFTWARE ENGINEERALGORITHMSBRAND MARKETINGCOMPUTER VISIONDEBUGINTEGRATORMACHINE LEARNINGOPEN GLOPENCLPROBLEM SOLVINGPROTOTYPESHIPPING Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s Degree
