Job Title: Event Coordinator II (17653-1)Type: W2 Contract Duration: 6 months with scope for extension/conversionClient: Leading Social Media Company Location: Fremont, CA**Must have US Work AuthorizationFacebook is hiring an Earth Day Engagement Associate to join the Infrastructure Sustainability team through May 2022. This contract role will directly support the planning and execution of our 4th annual Earth Week celebration (Apr 18-22nd 2022), Facebook’s flagship internal sustainability event featuring hybrid, remote and in person content developed by global teams across 25+ offices. This associate will also help track our external Earth Day engagement activities with key internal partners across product, communications and partnerships. We are looking for an experienced project manager who is an independent self starter with strong attention to detail, a passion for sustainability and a flexible, solutions-focused outlook.ResponsiblesStrategic partner on the Earth Day 2022 steering committee, provide input into overall event goals, key messages, and engagement metricsDevelop peer benchmarking report of hybrid event best practicesSupport internal communication strategy for collateral development, wiki pages, event planning deliverablesMaintain detailed database of events planned by region, team lead, and priority topicStreamline outreach communications with regional employee groups and individual employee inquiriesLiaise with AV and Events team to coordinate event space reservations, speaker prep, and event rehearsalsManage planning meeting calendars, take meeting minutes and pursue follow upsAfter Earth Day, collate event metrics, work with Marketing team to create visual of KPIs and engagementMinimum QualificationsUndergraduate degree with experience in sustainability or environmental science, post-graduate degree preferred2-4+ years of advanced project management experienceBackground in organizing and executing major virtual and hybrid eventsStrong communication skills, especially achieving alignment across multiple disciplines, and proactively identifying roadblocks and presenting solutionsProven experience delivering results through personal leadership and influencing othersStrong listening and stakeholder engagement experience, proven ability to integrate diverse partner inputs into a cohesive and inclusive strategic planAbility to navigate ambiguity and quickly changing project prioritiesWillingness to learn and positive attitude
