Job Title: Electrical Technician IV 29969-1Duration: 12 MonthsJob Type: W2Job Location: New York, NYJob Description:We are building the next generation of input devices. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the bring up and success of the electrical components in these devices. The main function of an Electrical technician is to test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify (rework) PCBAs.Job Responsibilities:• Rework assembled PCBAs as needed to support R&D and product development• Work with engineers to troubleshoot board bring-up issues by adding components or wires or modifying the boards• Program boards and look for signs of life• Conduct functional tests and document results in a clear manner• Support the lab manager on any tool or parts purchases to help keep the lab functioning well• Maintain a tidy electronics lab environmentRequired Skills:• Capable of reworking 0201 or smaller components, QFN packages by hand• Strong soldering skills and knowledge of rework processes include epoxy potting, board cleaning• Comfortable working under a microscope for extended periods of time• Familiar with ESD guidelines and best practices• Familiar with soldering and rework tools• Able to set up and operate lab equipment for electrical test• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills• Team player and detail oriented.• Tidy and organizedPreferred Skills:• Able to read a schematic and/or layout to trace signals or find areas for rework• Capable of conducting electrical tests according to a protocol and clearly documenting results• Follow a protocol to program a device and check for basic signs of life• Work with the lab manager to ensure that electrical equipment is calibrated and operating properly• Work with the lab manager to ensure that there are adequate supplies and tools to complete your tasksEducation/Experience:• At least 3 years of experience in a related field
