Title: Electrical Engineer IVType: W2 ContractDuration: 12 monthsLocation: Sunnyvale, CARequest ID: 25923-1 Job Description: We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for Test Automation who can work closely with Electrical Engineering teams to co-develop tools that facilitate data acquisition, hardware validation, quality assurance, prototyping, and testing of the system hardware designs and assemblies. As a test automation engineer you will be responsible for hardware measurements, scripting, automation, and co-development of hardware platforms that will be used throughout the organization. These platforms provide critical data for engineering teams and push the boundary of next generation virtual computing platforms.Responsibilities:Conduct hardware tests and gather power measurements on FRL hardware platforms, working closely with cross functional teamsDocument and report test methodology and gathered data to share across the organizationDesign and build significant parts of the test automation infrastructure for hardware teams across FRLContribute to an automation framework which interfaces with electrical equipment (power supply, data acquisition units) and DUTsReview current hardware test plans and translate them into automated test scriptsSupport analyzing, testing, and validating of software and hardware featuresWrite and maintain documentation for automation framework and test proceduresMinimum Qualifications3+ years’ experience with hardware testing and test automationExperience working with electrical test equipmentExperience with scripting in Python, Batch, Shell, etc..Experience working with hardware designs and reading schematicsExperience with debugging tools such as bus analyzers and oscilloscopesBS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subjectExtensive experience with test automation in Python, understanding of gRPCExperience with power measurement automation, digital signal processing, and sampling techniquesExperience using of version control systems, code review, continuous integration and software testing best practicesComfortable with command line interface in Linux and AndroidDesign experience working with EE’s in analog, power, and digital designUnderstanding of EE fundamentals and concepts
