Title : Digital Communication EngineerJob Description:Develop RF simulator based on 3GPP NR RF spec (TS 38.101-1) using MATLAB toolboxes which requires modeling RF impairments, i.e., IQ imbalance, phase noise, and power amplifier, as well as their RF measurements, i.e., EVM, ACLR, carrier leakage, in-band emission, spectrum emission emission, spurious emission, etc.Responsibilities• Understand and model 5G NR RF requirements• Work with senior engineer to come up with simulation methodology and plan• Develop and maintain RF simulator according to TS 38.101-1 using MATLAB• Develop and maintain RF impairment models for IQ imbalance, phase noise, and power amplifier• Develop and maintain RF parameter measurements functions (EVM, carrier leakage, IBE, ACLR, SEM, SE, etc.)• Perform performance evaluation based on the developed simulator• Collect and plot data from simulations• Write technical documents to maintain the simulatorQualifications:• Strong theoretical background in digital communication (BSEE with 10 years direct experiences, or MSEE with digital communication concentration and 5 years experience)• Familiar with MATLAB• Familiar with 3GPP RAN PHY or RF specs• RF exposure is a big plus• Be able to work in a multi-discipline and multi-culture global organization• Be flexible and adaptive to adjust project focus based on changes of business priorities• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Must be self-driven and a strong team player
