Job title: Design Engineer ILocation: Menlo Park, CADuration: 6+ MONTHS W2 contract with a possibility of an extension/ conversionSummary:The main function of a design engineer is to work on running power simulations and generating power data. The typical design engineer will perform various tasks including working with teams in understanding tests, running power simulations, gathering results and working on flows.Responsibilities:Perform end-to-end RTL and Netlist power analyses for IP blocksAutomate results tabulation from power runs and maintain metricsDevelop, improve and automate power analysis methodology flows and frameworkDebug flow issues and assist cross functional teamsInvestigate power inefficiencies and provide feedback to design teamsMinimum Qualifications:Good understanding of computer architecture is requiredExperience in power analysis and reduction using PrimeTime PX/PrimePower, PowerArtist and PowerProFamiliarity with low power implementation techniques, clock gating, power gating etc.Proficiency in Verilog/System Verilog and scripting languages such as Python and/or Perl is requiredProficiency with TCL is requiredExperience with UPF flow is requiredGood written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications:Experience with micro-architecture and associated power challengesUnderstanding of Power Delivery NetworkPower and performance implications with latest technology nodesExperience with synthesis and PNR tools and flows(DC, ICC etc.)Proficiency with version control systemsEducation/Experience:Bachelors degree in engineering
