The project engineer works to plan projects, establish project criteria, coordinate project reviews, and ensure the proper implementation of project elements.include:• Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects• Sourcing of electronic components for prototype devices• Collaborate daily with team XFN team members to gather requirements and deliverables• Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans,) and report regularly on project status• Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support• Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actionsRequirementsBachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering3 Years of Industry ExperienceWe are building the next generation of input devices for the metaverse. This role will help the electrical engineering team be successful on their design and development by:Job Responsibilities:• This person will support the project manager and project teams on electrical engineering board development.• Monitor status of rework or outstanding board bring-ups issues and ensure engineers are responding in a timely manner• Work with GSM (purchasing) and electrical engineering team to identify and source difficult-to-find electronic components• Keep up the chase for components by checking daily• Maintain a tracked inventory of components and distribute to builds as prioritized by the team• Create purchase orders and monitor approval process to ensure PCB and assembly houses are ready to go• Provide vendor onboarding support• Inform team leads and project managers about about any timeline slips in a timely manner• Assist project managers with preparing schedules and coordinating electrical engineering projects• Schedule meetings with team and cross functional partners as requiredSkills:• Strong drive to maintain schedules and keep the team on track• Verbal and written communication skills, multi-tasking, customer service skills and interpersonal skills.• Ability to work independently and manage one’s time.• Ability to keep information organized and confidential.• Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Education/Experience:• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training required.
