Job Title: BI Engineer III 32763-1Duration: 12 Months (W2 Possible Conversion)Location: Remote Denver, CO , New York, NY, Houston, TX Los Angeles, CA, and San Diego, CA .Summary: The main function of a Business Intelligence Engineer is to design and develop specifications and applications according to business units requirements. The BI Engineer will work closely with the business to meet its specific goals.Job Responsibilities:Provide advice on process definition on the use of Hyperion OLAP and Business Objects tools and processes.Consult with project teams and business units on the use of Hyperion OLAP and Business Objects tools and processes within their organizations.Work closely with business to understand strategic and financial objectives and translate them into technical specifications and applications.Construct & implement physical database models and structures in Hyperion’s Essbase database.Develop data extraction and transformation software components required to build Essbase input files.Develop scripts to automate administrative tasks supporting Essbase and Analyze.Write Reports in Business Objects.Develop Business Objects Universes.Skills:Strong analytical and communication skills.PC skills, including office applications and project scheduling and flowcharting softwareBasic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.Knowledge of computer hardware and software.Must know Hive, Tableau, SQLETL, analytics. Business intelligence, dashboard designSupport roles, analytics, analytic support, dashboard developer, business analyst- analytics business analysis. Will support all of the tableau users at Meta, working with cross functional teams. Education/Experience:Bachelor’s Degree in technology, finance, business or equivalent.Experience implementing Hyperion Essbase and/or Business Objects.The main areas of support are: Dashboard creation: Guidance when creating calculations, design, filters, and other basic features Support for guidance on the usage of extra features like Ask Data, Explain Data. Data preparation/cleanup guidance using Tableau Prep and Prep Conductor How to use Extension products provided in the Standard Extension Gallery End user Solutioning: service currently provided by the Tableau EAC in helping guide users on complex projects architect/ implementation. In pipeline: Support for the usage of Einstein Discovery Extension Nice to have: ETL guidance and support Here are some sample support issues resolved by our Vendor CSM team Secondary areas of support: Maintenance / Upgrade communications UAT coordination
